Who We Are
Jerry Kane is the sole owner and operator of the The Mortgage Pros. Jerry graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s in Finance and an emphasis in Economics in 1989. He’s served in various capacities with a number of banks for nearly 13 years. He also worked as a commodity and futures broker for a short time and has been in the mortgage business for the better part of 19 years starting this company in early 2007.
What We Do
The Mortgage Pros offer a full line of residential mortgage loans for all of your needs. We specialize in government programs: FHA, VA and USDA as well as conventional programs: Fixed rate, Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARM’s), jumbo loan products (loan amount over $726,200 in 2023).
We can also help you with a rehabilitation loan. FHA features a 203K or while the conventional side offers a Home-style loan. Maybe you already own your home or are looking at a place you like, but it needs some repairs or updating. One of these loans would be perfect for you.
You may be a first time home buyer, military veteran, investor or you may be looking for that perfect second home in the Pocono Mountains. Whatever your need may be, The Mortgage Pros have you covered.
Why We Do It
We really enjoy helping folks make one of the largest, most important financial decisions they’ll ever make in their life. We also get a thrill out of helping an existing home owner keep more money in their pocket by consolidating high rate credit cards or putting in that outdoor kitchen they’ve always wanted or maybe it’s refinishing the basement into that “man cave” or family recreation area.
Where We Are
The three primary markets we serve are the Lehigh Valley, Pocono Mountains and the Scranton and Wilkes-Barre areas. I’ve lived and worked in the Lehigh Valley since about 1994, I’ve spent a lot of time in the Pocono’s and have numerous contacts there and I grew up just north of Scranton where I continue to maintain many relationships.
I’ve also worked with a number of clients in the Lancaster area and around Reading. No matter where you are, we can help you. That’s the beauty of the society we live in today with many transactions being done 100% via phone and computer!
